Setting Up the .docx
Here is a downloadable template file you can edit or use to help guide you in building your own: Docmosis Gojee Template
The .docx file is best edited in MS Word (desktop version, though web version can work) – uploading can be a bit picky about the file format, so compatibles like OpenOffice, LibreOffice etc. are not guaranteed to work. Mail merge fields are not necessary – it works by replacing the <<>> text fields found with the specific data.
When selecting a Docmosis template, the quote page will change to a per-section layout, allowing you to modify where items are and allow you to move them between sections. The other functionality of quoting is unaffected.
When the quote is generated, the fields will have been successfully replaced with the information provided as part of the quote.
If Variations is turned on, the options to include variations and additional scopes will be available.
These use a different set of fields to the standard quote sections, and can be styled separately.
